Within the first 12 months of purchase, your statutory consumer rights are with the retailer – the company that sold you the product.

• You have the right to reject your item and get a refund within 30 days of possessing the goods.
• You could also ask the retailer to repair or replace your item within six months of purchase.
• After the first six months the onus is on you to prove a fault was present at the time you took ownership of the goods.
For items that have guarantees greater than 12 months, you can use your guarantee, held with the manufacturer, if your product develops a fault.
Hozelock would issue an exchange, if the product is found to have a manufacturing fault and it is still within the product’s guarantee period.
